The Job
Lead, optimize, and scale NVE’s state-of-the-art semiconductor production operations. As a vital leader, you will drive manufacturing excellence to support our global leadership in spintronics.
Responsibilities
• Manage and schedule production and equipment maintenance personnel.
• Develop daily and weekly planning, prioritization, and sequencing to maximize throughput.
• Maximize throughput, reduce costs, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with R&D to seamlessly transition new products into high-volume manufacturing.
• Provide clear, actionable schedule and status updates to internal customers and leadership teams.
Skills and Experience
• Previous operational or manufacturing management experience required. Semiconductor, electronics, or vacuum-system manufacturing experience is preferred.
• High energy with the ability to execute high-quality, fast decisions in a rapid-paced, high-tech operation.
Education
B.S. in technical discipline.
Salary Range: $75,000 to $110,000/yr.
Advance NVE’s leadership in spintronics by developing new wafer-level fabrication processes and devices.
Responsibilities
• Develop wafer fabrication processes for new spintronic devices using photolithography, etching, electrodeposition, and physical vapor deposition processes.
• Collaborate with other science and engineering staff to complete experiments, maintain equipment, and ramp new technologies into high-volume production.
• Fine-tune spintronic device manufacturing steps to ensure quality conformance using statistical process control (SPC).
• Solve problems related to device failure mechanisms and customer quality issues. Incorporate solutions to production flows.
• Present important engineering solutions to internal scientific and engineering staff.
• Incorporate process improvements into the documentation system.
Education and Skills:
• B.S. or M.S. in materials science, physics, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of device physics and analytical materials and device characterization methods; basic knowledge of vacuum and wafer processing technologies a plus.
• Familiarity with experimental design and statistical process control.
• Strong work ethic and results oriented.
Salary Range: $61,000 to $80,000/yr.
Join a growing team focused on validating and verifying high-performance spintronic sensors for a global customer base in industrial automation, robotics, utilities, and medical electronics markets.
Responsibilities
• Design and deploy test systems for automated test handlers.
• Prove sensors meet application-specific requirements by engineering turnkey solutions for customers.
• Engineer new sensor products from both proprietary and off-the-shelf integrated circuits.
• Own customer satisfaction by presenting product requirements to in-house IC designers and device scientists in the Advanced Technology group.
Skills
• Strong fundamentals in analog and digital circuit design; hands-on experience with embedded systems development such as SiLabs, STMicro, Microchip a plus.
• Proficiency for programming and debugging in C/C++/C# for embedded systems.
• Experience with National Instruments hardware and LabWindows/CVI.
• Results-oriented and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Education
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or similar degree with demonstrated expertise.
Pay Range
$75,000 to $95,000/year.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to manufacture NVE's spintronics products.
Responsibilities
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems used for silicon wafer handling within vacuum systems.
• Install, assemble, and dismantle vacuum system components, including pumps, chambers, valves, and gauges.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on vacuum systems to maximize equipment up-time.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with automated control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Work with other technicians, researchers, and engineers to troubleshoot complex mechanical and automation problems.
Skills
• Expertise in automation and mechatronics.
• Results-oriented work ethic.
• Strong mechanical and electronics aptitude.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or Fusion360)
• Exceptional troubleshooting and hands-on problem-solving abilities.
Education
Associate degree in electronic technology, robotics, automation and controls, or similar.
Pay Range
$28 to $40/hr.
Run test handlers to test our state-of-the-art semiconductor-type parts.
Shifts Available (hours are flexible):
• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Responsibilities
• Set up and operate production test handlers, tape-and-reel systems, laser trimmers, and wafer testers.
• Create computerized wafer maps.
• Inspect parts for quality.
• Perform light equipment maintenance.
Skills and Experience
• Accurate; detail oriented; ability to multitask.
• Mechanical skills to resolve minor machine issues.
• Ability to read procedures and work instructions and complete paperwork.
• Basic computer skills.
• Prior experience with automated equipment or light assembly a plus.
• Basic understanding of electronics a plus.
Pay Range
$19 to $23/hr.
