Smaller Sensors. Smaller Signals.
How small can a magnetometer get? How faint a field can it detect? NVE is pushing both frontiers with Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors. Our ALT-Series brings high sensitivity to ultraminiature packages, while the BLT022 takes magnetic field detection into the picotesla range.
ALT022-20E: Big Capability in a Tiny Footprint
At just 0.55 × 0.55 mm, the ALT022-20E packs a sensitive analog TMR bridge into a wafer-level chip-scale package. Its package footprint is approximately 95% smaller than a 2.5 × 2.5 mm DFN6, opening new possibilities for wearables, compact robotics, and space-constrained sensing.

Small Size. Strong Signals.
The ALT022-20E delivers 300 mV/V/mT typical sensitivity over a ±0.25 mT linear range. Its bipolar differential output detects field strength and polarity. The ALT family offers linear ranges from ±0.25 mT to ±20 mT, with package choices for a wide range of designs.

NEW: BLT022: A New Frontier in Low Noise
We are offering a new sensor with a noise floor ten-times lower than our previous best. The BLT022 sets a new standard for ridiculous sensitivity and enables the applications where it is necessary. Typical field detectivity is 30 pT/√Hz at 100 Hz and 350 pT/√Hz at 1 Hz, paired with an extraordinary 1000 mV/V/mT typical sensitivity. That combination helps bring faint magnetic signals within reach for navigation, metal detection, and nondestructive analysis.
Lower Noise. Fainter Fields.
The comparison below shows field detectivity across the ALT-Series and BLT022. Lower curves mean lower magnetic field noise at a given frequency. From the tiny ALT022-20E to the ultrasensitive BLT022, choose the balance of size, field range, and noise performance your application needs.
ALT-Series and BLT022 field detectivity versus frequency. Lower curves indicate lower field noise; detectivity depends on frequency.
BLT022 Highlights
• ±0.1 mT linear range • Up to 350 kHz bandwidth • 15 kΩ typical resistance • 0 to 10 V supply range • −40 to 125°C operation • ±0.1%/°C output sensitivity temperature coefficient
Low Power, Too
A ratiometric bridge supports operation at very low supply voltages and produces an output proportional to its supply.
